Welcome Pack

Our set pack includes the following services:

• • Reception of participants and route explanation.
• • Accommodation management.
• • Route tracking.
• • A GPS device per group (free if you also contract the accommodation and luggage transportation).

Reception of participants will take place on the date and at the time agreed at the following address:  SBR Store, Vía Sergia, 69 - 08302 Mataró, unless another address has been explicitly agreed with participants.

 

Luggage Transport Service

The price of the participants or companions baggage transport is €40/day.

The maximum weight accepted per bag is 12 kg. BikerideCostaBrava-Barcelona will under no circumstances be responsible for valuables inside the bags to be carried unless stated by the customer in writing.

 

Bicycle Rent

If you cannot come with your own bike, we can rent you one.

• • Bicycle rent (from): €50/day.

Bicycles are delivered checked and in perfect conditions to complete the route. It is the customer’s responsibility to carry the minimum spare items. Service is subject to bicycle availability.

 

GPS Rent

If you need a GPS device, we can rent you one.

• • GPS rent: €20/day. If you have retained the services of accommodation and transportation of luggage the first device will be free.

GPS devices are delivered with the route tracking and charged batteries. We also provide you with a spare battery and a charger. It is the customer’s responsibility to charge the batteries during the route.

 

Winery visit & wine tasting Clos d'Agon

During the route, we offer you the possibility to take a guided tour to a cellars and a tasting of the wines they produce. You also have the opportunity to have a snack or even a lunch to regain strength before continuing.

Shower & SPA at the end of the route

The URH Ciutat de Mataró hotel puts at your disposal its SPA, where you can relax and have a shower once finished our route. No need to stay at the hotel to enjoy this service.

Route Assistance

In case you suffer a mechanical breakdown which stops you from continuing the route, BikerideCostaBrava-Barcelona offers you a route assistance system.

• • Price to be invoiced: €0.50/km + labor cost + spare pieces.

If no on-site reparation could be possible, a new rental bicycle would be provided.

Service is subject to bicycle availability.

 

Insurance

It is obligatory by law to have an insurance contract, so, in case you do not have one, we offer you three options:

1. Through our website, a tailor-made insurance according to the number of days it will take you to complete your route:

   • • Accidents insurance: €5/day
   •  
2. Through the FEDERACIÓN CATALANA DE CICLISMO (Catalan Cycling Federation) with the  LLICÈNCIA CICLOTURISTA AUTONÒMICA (Cicloturistes BTT - Lleure).  Autonomic Cycle-Tourism License – BTT Cycle-tourists, Leisure). It is valid from January 1st to December 31st and can be processed directly with the Federation. Telephone number: +34 93 301 24 44. (http://www.ciclisme.cat).

Reservation

BikerideCostaBrava-Barcelona routes can only be completed under previous reservation. The reservation process can only be managed by means of our website or contacting the BikerideCostaBrava-Barcelona Reservation Centre.

In case you walk into a hotel without previous reservation, BikerideCostaBrava-Barcelona will under no circumstances be responsible for the situation.

Reservations will be formalized with a 25% deposit of the total amount. Payment will be by transfer to our account.  Payment of the route total amount will be required at least 15 days before the starting date. If you book your route with less than 15 days before the starting date, you will be required to pay the total amount of the route at the moment of the reservation.

 

Cancellations

If a reservation is cancelled previous to the 15 days before the route starting date, the total amount will be refunded, discounting the possible management or cancellation expenses caused to the organizing agency and the tourist suppliers.

If it is cancelled within the previous 15 days and before the 5 last days before the starting date, the total amount of the deposit will be lost. (25% total amount plus the costs incurred).

If the reservation is cancelled within the 5 days previous to your route starting date, the total amount of the reservation will be lost. This period will be calculated from the 00:00h of the day your accommodation has been booked. 

The customer will under no circumstances be refunded for the cost of the accident insurance he might have signed.

In case the customer does not spend the night in a hotel previously booked, the amount paid for this hotel will not be refunded and he will have to pay for the new hotel by himself.

The reservation confirmation means the acceptance of all the conditions mentioned above.

 

Dropouts

If, whatever the cause, you have to drop out during the route, it is obligatory to inform BikerideCostaBrava-Barcelona organization.

There is the possibility to pick you up and take you back to the starting point just calling BikerideCostaBrava-Barcelona or phoning directly one of the taxi services provided. Transport cost will always be at the customer’s expenses.

In case you drop out before completing the route, the total amount of the reservation will be lost.

 

Recommendations

Participants will have to carry the minimum personal material to carry out the activity, as well as a bicycle in good condition to complete the route and a repair kit.

Respect for the environment must be a priority, you must cycle along the route in the least aggressive way as possible and you must not dirty the environment in any way, respecting the rules, competent official bodies or the owners of the passing sites.

It is important to consider the aspects weight/volume when preparing the luggage to be carried during the route. Bear in mind that you will have to carry everything with you in case we do not take care of your luggage transport.
