Ruta

This first stage is not the longest in kilometres, but it is probably one of the most demanding and beautiful for its elevation gain and loss and its landscapes. On route, you will ride through the Serralada Litoral, and, after crossing the Montseny National Park, you will cycle up over 1,300m, the highest point. After this difficult part, the last kilometers are much easier, most of them down to the beautiful village of Viladrau. This is the most alpine and mountainous stage, from where, on a bright day, you will enjoy excellent views of a great part of Catalonia, from the Pyrenees to the Mediterranean Sea. Nearly 100% of the roads are side roads and low trafficked.

Ruta

This is an outstanding stage for its variety of landscapes: mountain forests, picturesque villages such as Rupit and paved “paths”. There is a very demanding first part through a rural and isolated area, followed by a much easier one which leads to the Gironès shire. But that is not all, you will finish the stage in the historical city of Girona, where the Christian, Jewish and Arabic cultures merge, making of it a unique city in the world. Nearly 90% of the roads are side roads and low trafficked.

Ruta

This third stage has nothing to do with the previous one. First, you will cycle through the Baix Empordà shire, until you reach the waters of the Costa Brava, considered one of the best spots in the world, and not just by us, but also by the National Geographic magazine.  Madremanya, Pals, Monells and Peratallada are some of the villages you will never forget. When you reach Tamariu, the end of the stage, it is worth going swimming in the waters of some of the most spectacular beaches or coves in the Costa Brava, or just walking along the Camins de Ronda (coastal paths).

Ruta

This is the easiest and shortest stage of the route, so it is worth enjoying its coves, beaches, some of the most beautiful roads in the Costa Brava and spectacular villages such as Llafranc and Callella de Palafrugell.  You will finish the stage in Tossa de Mar, with its Vila Vella walled enclosure, declared National Listed Building, where you can wander around quiet narrow streets.

Ruta

The last day of the route passes near the sea. It is a placid stage, not very physically demanding, except for the last kilometres, which take you away from the sea to ride along the beautiful and quiet roads inside the Montnegre i el Corredor Natural Park. You will finish this spectacular 4-day route in Mataró.
